Emotional intelligence is a crucial skill for professionals to effectively manage their emotions in the workplace. As the demands of the health care industry evolves, professionals have to adapt to meet the needs of the work environment and their clients. Emotional Intelligence helps us understand our emotions, regulate our reactions, improve our social awareness, and effectively manage relationships.

This workshop will provide you with an opportunity to gain awareness to the negative impact that unregulated emotions can have on your daily interactions with others. Participants will learn techniques to gain self-control during challenging situations and create positive outcomes.

Objectives:

• To define Emotional Intelligence (EI)
• To distinguish emotional intelligence from other forms of intelligences
• To illustrate the importance of emotional intelligence for professionals in work, life and relationships
• To increase personal and social awareness
• To enhance working and personal relationships with others through effective communication and empathy
• To learn how to recover from distressing situations quicker
• To build a mental mechanism of success in work that promotes trust motivation and commitment to positive results

Meet Our Speakers:

Fabiola Juarez, LCSW, ACC

Fabiola received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. Throughout her years of service, she has helped many individuals overcome severe mental health and addiction issues. She currently works with adults in both individual and group counseling. As a certified life coach, she helps individuals overcome personal obstacles and establish goals that will help them reach a fulfilling professional and personal life. Through the use of positive psychology and motivational interviewing skills, she helps with a wide range of topics such as: work-life balance, communication skills, self-esteem, confidence, career, and healthy relationships.

Ily Moreno, LMSW, ACC

Ily Moreno is an ICF associate certified coach. She is a master’s-level licensed mental health professional with a strong background in psychology, mental health and healthcare. She is currently the Lead Therapist at Carrollton Springs Psychiatric Hospital. She received her Bachelor’s degree from University of Puerto Rico and her Master’s degree from University of Iowa. She is the founder and CEO of Breaks for Success, LLC a coaching firm dedicated to the development and empowerment of professional women. Through the use of positive psychology and evidence based interventions she helps professionals, executives and entrepreneurs achieve their highest potential.
